Harry Potter "Slytherin" Sign Made From Scratch
From concept to whimsy creation! This handcrafted Harry Potter “Slytherin” crest, is just one of the many unique custom pieces our customers request. To share a little of the process, the concept started out as a handful of sketches to determine the composition and layout. From there, the design was refined and brought into Adobe Illustrator, where it was made into a detailed vector. The final step was to die cut the vector with vinyl. Since the die cut machine could only cut so big, the vector was split into pieces. The negative space of the vinyl was then removed, and each individual piece carefully placed on the primed walnut wood, aligning them to ensure a seamless fit. It was a fun process and once the sign was sealed with varnish, the end result was this stunning piece of one of custom artwork for Sysaic Knotz! Let us know what you think in the comments.
